My baby is now eight years old. It's hard to believe how fast he is growing into a young man.
Oh how I LOVE this little guy.
He is incredibly bright now reading at a fourth grade level in second grade.
He enjoys football, reading and playing Wii.
Not to mention kicking mom’s butt in Chess from time to time.
Nathan has a peaceful way about him. He is always willing to help out around the house when needed and is a very patient big brother to Emily and Ryan.
He is a quiet little guy who is in love with his Papa. Those two have their own special relationship that just warms a mama’s heart.
Nathan can be found down by the river most summer days fishing with his papa or playing ball with the neighbor boys in the front yard.
Nathan enjoys playing soccer however I do not think he has one competitive bone in his body. He has been known to run off the field in the middle of a play to use the restroom as his coach yells after him “hey Nate where are you going!?! You’re the Goalie!”
Nathan is a joy to parent and growing up to be a very thoughtful young man. We are very proud of him and look forward to seeing him grow.

Mommy Hatched an Egg!
Out of the mouths of babes. So we were sitting at the county clerks office filling out paper work for our passport when the lovely lady behind the counter gave Ryan some crayons to keep him busy. Boy I love those ladies! I asked Ryan to draw me a picture.
The picture started as a mommy pumpkin, the skinny one (Gotta love that kid!) and a daddy pumpkin. Trying to keep him busy a little longer I asked him to draw a family which he did. When he was finished he proudly announced to the whole office “Look mommy you hatched two baby pumpkins!”. See there’s the egg in your tummy for the next one. I thought the girls behind the desk would die laughing.
